Macbeth-Evans
was formed in 1899, resulting from the merger of the two main producers of lamp
chimneys, purchasing in the same year the American Chimney Lamp Company, with
all its rights and owns patents to a glass-blowing machine suitable for the
production of light chimneys. They operate plants in other places, at the turn
of the century, through mergers and acquisitions.
Macbeth-Evans was the largest producer of the country, lamp chimneys, doing chimneys
of plain glass in different shapes and sizes.

began to manufacture glass for various purposes, including working with the
colored glasses of the season, producing the first complete line of colored
depression glass in
Even bought by Corning Glass Worksin 1937, it operated as Macbeth-Evans until
the late 1940's.
